Graph 3 displays data on births to teen mothers in Windham. Like New Britain, there has been a greater decline in the percentage of births to teen mothers relative to older mothers, but the effect here appears even more pronounced, a 3% decrease over the five year period (down to 15.43% from 18.44%.) Also like New Britain, the current percentage of births to teen mothers remains more than double that of the statewide average (15.43% relative to 6.96%), again suggesting a continuing need for teen pregnancy prevention services.
