Data for the city of Waterbury is shown in Graph 6.  Here the trend is slightly less obvious:  overall there is a decline in the percentage of births to teen mothers residing in this community from 16.22% to 14.48%, but there was a slight increase from 2002 (14.73%) to 2003 (15.34%).  Clearly though, at 14.48% in 2004 there is still a great need for services to prevent teen pregnancy in Waterbury.
