New London Data

Data for teen mothers in New London is shown in Graph 7.  This graph follows a different trend.  Here the situation appears to have worsened over the five year period.  The situation appears to have improved briefly between 2003 and 2004 when the percentage of teen births relative to older mothers residing in New London actually decreased from 16.27% to 14.10%, but overall in New London, these data suggest that adolescent childbearing is worsening.  Clearly this community is in need of services to prevent teen pregnancy.
