Graph 12 displays data for Ansonia. These data suggest an overall trend where the percentage of births to teen mothers over the last five years consistently exceeded the statewide average. There is considerable variability in the trend from individual year to year, in all likelihood due to the small population in Ansonia. Nevertheless, Ansonia clearly demonstrates a need for teen pregnancy prevention services relative to the rest of the state.
